Steps for moving to a new computer

Step 1 – Copy the DataWise ProActive folder from the old pc to the exact same drive on the new computer.

If you already have a copy of DataWise on and existing computer, then you can copy the folders to a different PC to save setting up your company info again.
All your settings and paths to folders should work. If you have copied to a different drive or folder, all references to files in setup will need to be edited and changed.
Any customised reports and special module setting will all be copied.

Step 2 – Install The HFSQL database.

Check to see if you are using the HFSQL database. (See Setup, Data tab, is client-server option enabled?)
Download and install the HFSQL database from here https://windev.com/ts/download/
Select the version * HFSQL Client/Server For Windows and Linux *
Download
Run the install.
When asked, set the “Path of the data files “ to “C:\HFSQL Server”
The new installation will have a subfolder called BDD

Step 3 – Copy your data files into the “C:\HFSQL Server\BDD” folder.

Your files may be in a number of places depending on initial installation.
Most often it’s at “C:\HFSQL Server”
Look under “c:\Program Files\
Do a search for “BDD” on C drive root and it should come up.
