Log in and Run a Report

Once DataWise Report Writer has been set up and connected to the MYOB file it’s time to run reports.

1. Open DataWise by clicking on the Desktop shortcut  orFrom the c:\dataWise ProActive\5 ProActive 64Bit.exe or similar exe2. Login

  1. Select company if more than one set up
  2. Click Login Button
  3. Default password is “Admin”
  4. Press tab to check password and enable the [Login] button
  1. Get latest data from MYOB file. If the “MYOB sync” is not already run, review the date to start at and click the [Sync Now] button. With very large files this could take more than 30 minutes. ( Schedule to run overnight to ensure data up to date each morning.)
  2. Click the [Reporting] Button to open the reporting module


  1. Select report group filter from dropdown or “Reset” to show all reports
  2. Select/Highlight the line of the report you wish to run
  3. Click the [Next] button


  1. Enter the filter data as required
  2. For list type filter select [All] or [None]
  3. Or check/uncheck individual lines as required
  4. Click next to continue


  1. Change any Folder and File paths/ names as required. Changes are stored for next time the report is run.
  2. Click the [Preview Report] button to run the report. Output will depend on the individual report settings. Usual output is to a pdf, but many other formats can be provided.


Once the Report is displayed, it can be exported to other formats. Please review the menu options top of the report screen.
